I love this. Thank you Holland Nix.
One of my favorite musical moments ever caught on film. Particularly love it when Jerry confesses his love for Janis. Melts my heart every time. And her drunken vocal aerobic ending of the song is priceless...
This video brings me great joy...
I was introduced to the music of Seth Kauffman in 2007 by Thad Cockrell. I immediately wrote him a message on Myspace (it was 2007, y'all) asking him to come to Nashville to do some writing. If I remember correctly, he showed up the next day. We ended up writing 5 songs in that stint, and later that summer we recorded "The Exotic Sounds of Courtney Jaye" together at his house in Black Mountain, NC.
And still to this day, I want to shout to the world about Seth Kauffman's music. Not only a songwriter, but he's also an incredible producer, performer, multi-instrumentalist, and all-around creative genius...not to mention, quite possibly the funniest and sweetest soul on the planet. His music now goes under the name Floating Action, who's self-titled album I am waking up to this morning. Though I also highly recommend for you to check out the Seth Kauffman solo record, "Research".
I hope his music changes your life as it did mine. x

The perfect soundtrack to a lazy, hot, summer day...
(and check out that nudie suit!)
A beauty...
Works of art...both the man, and the nudie suit.
